The Elite 20 lamps for Scottish Enterprise in 2000 demonstrate how effective the use of a computer together with traditional craft skills can be, in the production of pieces for corporate promotion.
The Elite 20 are the fastest growing 20 small/medium sized companies in Scotland. The MDs of the top 3 are awarded one of these lamps by Scottish Enterprise in recognition of their achievment.Each Lamp base in the form of a tetrahedron, carries two logos, that of Scottish Enterprise and that of the winning company, together with appropriate lettering, all designed and built as computer files, built in wax on a Thermojet machine, then cast in bronze and hand finished.
